Akshat Nauriyal is an independent filmmaker and media artist from New Delhi, India. His works span mediums of film, installation, immersive + interactive media and public art, with human centric storytelling and social impact at their core. 

In 2012, Nauriyal founded one of India's earliest web-based documentary platforms called Now Delhi that featured short films on emerging subcultures ignored by mainstream media. Now Delhi has since transformed into audio-visual creative studio creating content and immersive media for broadcast, cultural institutions, agencies and brands alike. Having produced short / mid form content for over a decade, Nauriyal is currently working on his first feature length documentary film. The film pitch won two awards at Doc Edge Kolkata ‘24 - The Whickers Bursary Award and the Sunny Side of the Doc award. The film is currently in production.

Nauriyal is also a Co-founder of the St+art India Foundation - India’s leading Urban Arts platform, and operated as its Photo, Video and Content Director (2014-2021) while synthesising the community based projects vertical. 

Nauriyal’s work has been exhibited at festivals like Da Z: Digital Culture festival Zurich, Shepparton festival Australia, India Art fair and has also been featured in Al Jazeera, Vice, The Guardian, The BBC, El Pais amongst others. He has curated exhibits for the Google Culture Lab. He has played drums with Toto funds the Art award winner Another Vertigo Rush, critically acclaimed noise rock band Hoirong and is currently building his mixed media project Yesnomaybe which he debuted at Red Bull Premieres.
